A Partial-Wave Analysis of p+p -> ++d Reaction from Threshold to TL=578 MeV

Abstract
We report the results of energy-dependent partial-wave analysis of p+p →π++d reaction from threshold to TL=578 MeV. We obtain four solutions, I, IIa, IIb and III. The solutions I and III have large (3F3D3) amplitudes, while the solutions IIa and IIb show no enhancement in this state. These four solutions predict characteristically different behaviour for the deuteron polarizing power T11 (vector polarization) of which experimental investigation will be particularly useful for reconstruction of transition amplitudes.
