Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.6, p.1594(1973). By laser selective excitation of the 3s3p1P10 level of Mg I the Rydberg series 3s3p1P10-3snd 1D2 has been recorded in absorption up to n=24, showing strong perturbation by the 3p2 1D2 term. The 3s3p 1P10-3p21S0 autoionizing transition has been located at lambda 300-9 nm.Keywords
