Abstract
A water-soluble extract of mammalian heart, Recosen, was investigated to characterize its action on the cardiovascular system of anesthetized dogs. The cardiac actions were similar to those produced by indirectly acting sympathomimetic amines. The peripheral vascular effects resembled those of histamine. The doses necessary to produce the above effects greatly exceeded doses recommended for clinical use. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
