Abstract
Two children similar to those described as ''puppet children'' by Angelman were studied over 5 years. The clinical features of this syndrome, (the ''Happy Puppet'' syndrome) are severe mental subnormality, infantile spasms, easily provoked and prolonged paroxysms of laughter, ataxic jerky movements like those of puppets, a common facial appearance with apparent prognathism, certain ocular features, and a horizontal occipital depression. The EEGs showed slow wave and spike activity. Hypsarrhythmia was never seen. This contrasts with the EEG findings in nearly all other children with infantile spasms. Keywords
