Abstract
A new electrochemical cell for in situ UV/VIS‐spectroscopy using micro‐structurised metal foils (LIGA‐structures) as working electrodes is presented. With this new type of a spectroelectrochemical cell high‐sensitive spectroscopic studies of redox components can be carried out in the transmission procedure during dynamic electrochemical experiments. The capability of this new cell is shown for the electron‐transfer reaction of methylviologen and Wursters blue. The thin layer behavior of this cell is demonstrated. Keywords
