Abstract
A modified phosphotransacetylase method for the determination of CoA using, phosphotransacetylase [EC 2.3.1.8] from Escherichia coli B is described. This method has a high specificity for CoA. Diluted solutions of phosphotransacetylase from this source are inactivated during storage, but the enzyme is stable in the presence of sulfate ion. The inhibitory effects of sulfate ion and other inorganic salts on the enzyme activity are also reported. Keywords
