Abstract
A method was developed of measuring the interspinous diameter of the female pelvis with the ultrasound B‐apparatus Vidoson 635. The method was used in a group of 30 patients, who simultaneously had X‐ray pelvimetry. The difference between the results obtained by ultrasonic measurement and X‐ray was δa = ± 0.13 cm. Other authors have achieved similar differences by ultrasonic measurement of the biparietal diameter of the fetal head and the sagittal diameter of the pelvic brim.
