Some defects of the Wechsler-Bellevue.

Abstract
"Although the Wechsler-Bellevue retains its adequacy as a gross measure of general intelligence, its use as a diagnostic instrument and its application to research are seriously handicapped by irregularities in standardization and scoring." The author concludes that Wechsler's detailed tables should not be used for research purposes until "a new, thoroughly, and statistically sophisticated revision and restandardization of the Scale is accomplished."
