Abstract
Single electron-capture cross sections have been measured for boron ions with initial charges incident on an atomic hydrogen target. The cross sections and are large and show little dependence on the ion energy for the range studied, to keV. The cross section increases with increasing energy in this same range. Also reported is a survey of single electron-capture cross sections for ions of carbon (), nitrogen (), and oxygen () at the single energies keV also incident on atomic hydrogen.
