Abstract
A plaque assay method for the HF strain of herpes simplex virus using L-cells under methyl cellulose was described. Its ease in preparation, the reproduci-bility of results, the distinctness of the plaques, and the short period of time required for plaques to appear make it a suitable technique for use in classroom experiments and in assay of virus for research purposes.
