Abstract
Five chemosterilants were tested against Macrosiphum euphorbiae (Thomas). Tepa, hempa, and N, N′-hexamethylenebis (1-aziridine carboxamide), when applied topically, reduced fecundity of treated adults. Similar depression in fecundity was recorded in progenies obtained from these treated parents. 3,5-bis (dimethylamino)-1,2,4-dithiazolium hydrogen sulfate and 2,4-diamino-6-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-s-triazine hydrochloride were assayed by residual films. The former was somewhat toxic. Though at 0.1 percent, concentration it reduced fecundity of some exposed parents. 2,4-diamino-6-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-s-triazine hydrochloride did not have any chemosterilant effect. Keywords
