Abstract
A technique was developed that would enable free-ranging penguins (Spheniscidae) to be equipped with a transmitter and tracked at sea. Adhesives were used to glue a strip of Velcro onto the penguin''s back. This resulted in a reversible coupling enabling the transmitters to be removed or replaced with minimal handling time. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
