Abstract
Numerical calculations have been performed for the collapse of an axially-symmetric rotating protoneutron star of mass 1.09 M with a rotating envelope of mass 0.81 M. For q(≡total angular momentum / (M(GM/C2)C))≃1, it is found that depending on the rotation law a rapidly rotating spheroid, disk or ring-like shape neutron star is formed.
