Magnetoresistance Symmetry Relation inn-Germanium

Abstract
Careful measurement of the weak-field magnetoresistance coefficients of n-germanium indicates that the magnetoresistance symmetry relation is obeyed for samples with carrier concentrations as high as 6×1015 cm3. For a 3×1016 sample, the deviation, if any, is still quite small. For samples with carrier concentrations of 4×1017, 1×1018, and 1×1019, there is definite evidence of deviation but there is no evidence of the large deviations previously reported. The values of the anisotropy parameter K obtained from these measurements are in agreement with values previously obtained from magnetoconductance measurements.
