Abstract
The domain alignment argument offered by Salaneck to explain the ferroelectric behavior of the PLZT ceramics is shown to be inadequate with respect to the decreased light transmittance of poled material. Rather, a field-induced phase transition to a strongly anisotropic structure provides an adequate answer for the observed light scattering behavior. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
