Abstract
Treatment of cis-[W(N2)2(PMe2Ph)4] with 2-propanol/KOH yields hydrazine, whereas use of n-alcohols instead of 2-propanol gives ammonia as a main nitrogen hydride. Metal hydrides such as [(η5-C5H5)2ZrHCl], [H2Fe(CO)4] and [NaAlH2(OCH2CH2OCH3)2] also react with the above dinitrogen complex to give ammonia in moderate yield. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
