Abstract
This paper reports a numerical investigation of the effect of antireflection films on transmitted color in optical instruments consisting of a number of coated surfaces. Three film thicknesses, six glasses of refractive index ranging from 1.5110 to 1.7200, and surface multiplicities from 1 to 64 are reported. Colorimetric data for the films in reflection and transmission are tabulated and the leading results summarized. Keywords
