Primary Hemangioendothelioma of the Liver in Infancy

Abstract
PRIMARY hemangioendothelioma of the liver in infancy is a rare disease as indicated by a review of the literature. In 1933 Kunstadter1 reported 14 cases, reviewing 13 cases collected from the literature and adding 1 that had come under his observation. Since then Schumann,2 in 1941, reported 2 additional cases, the first in a six-week-old infant and the second in a thirty-six-hour-old male infant who died of cerebral hemorrhage after delivery.
