Abstract
Women who take and do not take oral contraceptives made daily self-reports of moods and symptoms associated with menstrual cycle changes. They also attributed these moods and symptoms to cycle or noncycle causes. During the premenstrual phase, Pill women made more cycle attributions than No Pill women. No Pill women made more cycle attributions during the menstrual than the premenstrual phase of their cycles. These attribution patterns were discussed in terms of cues to cycle phases. Keywords
