Abstract
By careful use of selective solvents and by chromatographic analysis (CaCO3) the presence of vit. A, carotene and other pigments in egg-yolk was established or confirmed. Kryptoxanthin is associated with the carotene; by feeding hens a diet rich in maize the content of kryptoxanthin was raised to 0.2 mgm. per 100 gm. of yolk. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
