Functions of the Median-Eminence Gland

Abstract
DR. Hiatt asked me to change the title, "Functions of the Median-Eminence Gland," because he was afraid that no one would know what I was talking about — whether it was the prostate gland or some other subject that is both medial and eminential. I have chosen this title to emphasize the fact that the median eminence forms a glandular part of the brain, which has as its function the regulation of the anterior pituitary gland, just as the neurohypophysis is a neural gland whose secretions affect kidney, uterus and breast.
