Abstract
The well-known Wright's genetic model is extended to a population whose size varies cyclically. Explicit expressions are obtained for the absorption probability and the rate of approach to homozygosity in the case where there is no selection. When selection operates, diffusion approximations are obtained for the various quantities of interest. Keywords
