Abstract
The apparatus we developed for the dialysis culture of phytoplankton utilizes disposable hollow dialysis fibers (hemodialyzer) as a separate dialysis unit coupled to a growth chamber. This system provides a large-scale dialysis culture of longer duration and similar biomass values when compared to microalgae grown in small dialysis tubing. The yield of algae obtained with our dialysis system represent an important improvement over the conventional batch cultures tested. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
