Abstract
SUMMARY: The number of mildew infections, pustule growtk ard conidia production were all increased by giving more nitrogen to barley plants in pots. Thus, independent of any effect of increased plakt growth on atmospheric humidity in a crop, nitrogen supply could directly influence the speed of disease development. Keywords
