Abstract
This study describes the measurement of information retention, speech “ interestingness,”; speaker character, and speaker authoritativeness of a speaker using “normal”; and defective speech. Support was found for the position that a speech defective speaker is perceived as less authoritative than a “normal”; speaking individual. Support in similar regard for information retention, speech “interestingness,”; and speaker character was not obtained. Keywords
