Abstract
A discussion, with 15 references, of the scant evidence on various factors affecting toxicity of cassava roots. Depending on the nature of the cones and age of plants, long drought periods may have unfavourable effects and deficiency of soil K seems to cause toxicity by increasing the glucoside contents of roots. The connexion between soil N and the degree of root toxicity is still lacking proof. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)Keywords
