Abstract
The loal-pseudopotential method proposed by Ashcroft and Langreth is used to calculate the isothermal bulk moduli and their first and second pressure derivatives for alkali metals. The results are compared with various experimental works. It suggests that the Grover-Getting-Kennedy representation might be the best model to be used in data analysis.
