Abstract
Of the 58 spp. and sspp. considered, 34 belong to the genus Hemizonia, in which one sp. has 2n = 8; one, 10; three, 12; four, 14; one, 16; four, 18; two, 20; two, 22; eight, 24; one, 26; and seven, 28. Trabants were found in 3 spp. Fragmentation and meiotic irregularities are common in the tribe. A genetical interpretation was not attempted. (Much of the material used was collected by the late H.
