Abstract
An improved design of laser output meter is described, in which the detector, which acts as a black body, is in the form of a double cone, constructed from a single layer of anodized aluminium wire. Energies in the range 20 J-1 mJ can be measured without the use of attenuators. The device is simple to construct and calibrate. Keywords
