Abstract
Fresh and frozen human fecal specimens were used for the isolation of nuclear dehydrogenating clostridia (NDC). The total bacterial count and the number of lecithinase-positive bacteria were lower in frozen samples than in fresh samples, but the frequency of isolation of NDC from frozen specimens was higher than from fresh specimens. [5.beta.-androsteu-3,17-dione was used as substrate].This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
