Abstract
“Perceived purposefulness of job behavior” is introduced as a possible link through which role ambiguity affects work satisfaction. A measure of this concept was developed and its explanatory value tested. The measure was able to account for the manner in which tenure, role clarity, and locus of control contribute to work satisfaction. Keywords
