Abstract
Fossil Microtus pennsylvanicus are reported from Kimball Creek, Louisiana, and from Arredondo IA and the Withlacoochee River, Florida. Late Pleistocene to Recent distribution of M. pennsylvanicus is discussed. Wisconsin records of this species in southeastern states indicate cooler, but not necessarily wetter, situations than at the present time. Late Pleistocene records of M. pennsylvanicus in the Southwest, south of the present range in areas of relatively low elevation, indicate both cooler and wetter situations than now occur in those regions.
