Abstract
The Madelung energies for tetragonal and the orthorhombic systems (simple, face‐centered, and body‐centered structures) are calculated. As applications, the stability for In which forms face‐centered tetragonal lattice, and the high‐pressure phase of group IV diamond‐type crystals are investigated.Keywords
