Abstract
Cleistothecial production of Monascus ruber van Tieghem was investigated during delimitation of the antheridium, ascogonium, trichogyne, and ascospore release. Attention was directed to cleistothecial development with formation of branched, sterile, investing hyphae and to the flattening and anastomosis of external cells in the protective wall. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
