Abstract
A quadrupole mass filter with a radio frequency of 650 kc was used to detect large clusters in supersonic water jets. Numerous water cluster ions in the form of H ( H 2 O ) n + , where n = 1 to 180 corresponding to mass 19 to 3241 amu, are observed.
