Stress Histories of Highway Bridges

Abstract
This paper describes in a general manner the nature and variability of some of the factors affecting the stress history to which a structural bridge element may be subjected. Some of the results of these factors are presented in the form of frequency distributions of vehicle type and stress range response of longitudinal stringers resulting from experimental observations of certain actual highway bridges.
