Abstract
Four adult male monkeys weighing an average of 10 lb. were placed on a creatine-free diet for 7-9 days. After the urinary level of creatine excretion reached a plateau, the animal were irradiated with 1000 rep of X-rays. A creatinuria, approximately 4 times normal during the first 4 days, similar to that previously found in the rat was seen. On the 2d postirradiation day, the average creatinuria was about 7 times normal. This effect is compared with that reported for other species in the literature. Keywords
