Abstract
A taxonomic revision of the genus Lepidium L. in Australia is presented; 116 names have been accounted for and a key is provided to the recognized 34 endemic or native species and 8 naturalized introductions. Nine new species are described and illustrated: L. biplicatum, L. catapycnon, L. genistoides, L. hypenantion, L. lyratogynum, L. platypetalum, L. pseudo-hyssopifolium, L. scandens and L. xylodes. An attempt to analyse the subgeneric classification is made and two new sections and one new subsection are described: sect. Oleracea, sect. Papillosa and subsect. Diploploca.Keywords
