Abstract
The effects of intensive physical training of plasma high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C) and triglycerides (TG) were studied in 38 “sport school” children who had ten 45 min periods of exercises each week. The results were compared with those in 35 control “standard school” children who had only two 45 min periods of exercises. The exercise group demonstrated a significantly higher mean HDL‐C concentration and lower TG levels. Keywords
