Abstract
Skeletal fluorosis has been induced in 8 cases of multiple myeloma. In 7 of the 8 cases, radiological fluorosis developed, 4 patients showing stage I changes and 3, stage E changes by the criteria of Roholm. The 5 patients who had bone biopsies before and after fluorlde-Ca therapy all showed marked thickening of trabeculae posttherapy. Five of the 6 patients who had severe pain experienced pain relief coincident with the fluorotic changes. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
