Abstract
The wavelength dependence of attenuation in polycrystalline silver halide fibres in the 1–11 w m wavelength range is reported. The results indicate that the total attenuation does not obey the u -4 dependence observed in silica, but is close to the u -2 dependence reported recently for other polycrystalline fibres. Keywords
