Abstract
Amino acid analysis of baker's yeast (Saccharomyces) cytochrome c was performed and following 108 amino acid residues were shown to be contained in one molecule of the cytochrome c: Asp11, Thr8, Ser4, Glu9, Pro4, Gly12, Ala7, Val8, Net2, Ileu4, Leu8, Tyr5, Phe4, CyS−2, CySH1, Try1, Lys15, His4, Arg8 and (NH3)9. Preliminary results on the amino acid analyses of the cytochromes c from the two different species of yeast, Candida and Kloeckera, were also presented. Keywords
