Abstract

Colored solutions of selenium in fluorosulfuric, sulfuric, and disulfuric acids have been investigated by conductometric, cryoscopic, spectrophotometric, and magnetic methods. Evidence is presented for the new species Se₄²⁺ and Se₈²⁺ in the yellow and green solutions respectively.
