Abstract
A type of heat exhaustion studied in Karachi during 1946 and 1947 is defined as an anhidrotic type, which has since been noted in Australasia and America. The pathologic basis is a deficiency of sweating. Chloride deficiency does not seem to play any part in this syndrome. Keywords
