Abstract
Four cases of vaginismus are presented. Two of them illustrate an iatrogenic precipitation of vaginismus, one misdiagnosis of vaginismus, and one shows the use of unnecessary hymenectomy as the first choice of treatment of vaginismus. The etiology of vaginismus and the indications of first pelvic examinations are discussed. Keywords
