Abstract
I. Introduction: Theory for particle size measurement by (A) peak analysis and (B) slope analysis of small angle x‐ray scattering. II. Design: (A) The basis for balance between intensity and resolution is discussed. Factors are weighed in considering the selection of (B) camera geometry, (C) suitable wavelength, (D) method of monochromatization, and (E) recording of intensity distribution. III. Experimental: (A) A high resolution small angle scattering camera is described. Examples of its operation are given in particle size determinations of (B) Dow latex by peak analysis and (C) colloidal gold by slope analysis. IV. Summary. Keywords
