Abstract
A 32-year-old male suffered for many years with 3 periodic, paroxysmal disorders: bouts of cyclic chills and fever, episodes of acute abdominal pain, and grand mal seizures. The abdominal attacks and grand mal seizures were partially controlled by anticonvulsant medication. The chill and fever patterns were altered by changes in sleep pattern and by intramuscular barbiturate. Although no specific etiology has been identified the disorders are thought to have a neurogenic origin. Keywords
