Abstract
This paper deals with the distribution, morphology, taxonomy and cultivation of commercially valuable species of oysters in the world, i.e. Crassostrea gigas, C. angulata, C. rhizophorae, C. virginica, Saccostrea commercialis, S. forskalli, Ostrea edulis, O. angasi, O. chilensis and O. lurida.Keywords
