Abstract
The superconducting transition with an onset temperature of 96 K has been confirmed in the Ba1-x Y x CuO3-z system by resistivity and AC susceptibility measurements. By combining the X-ray diffraction and AC susceptibility data on both bulk and powdered samples, we conclude that the superconducting phase is a minority phase in the present system. Keywords
