Abstract
The architecture of a von-Neumann class computer is considered, in which the user programmer can request, at the beginning of his task, one of many word widths, and one of many memory heights. Several users are able to space share the computer. We call this feature varistructure. The computer is a minimally, yet strongly connected cellular structure consisting of microcomputers, and has the capability of being fail-soft.Keywords
